dignified food for all
100,000 meals produced since 2020
The Problem
According to Feeding America, 17% or almost 270,000 Philadelphians experience food insecurity daily.
Due to the lack of quality food resources within food-insecure neighborhoods, residents will see direct negative health effects including decreased energy levels, reduced immunity, disrupted sleep quality, affected moods, and increased risk of memory problems.
The solution
Creating healthy and sustainable meals from raw ingredients filled with protein, fresh vegetables, and other key ingredients that are beneficial to the human body.
Working with Community Partners like community refrigerators, re-entry programs, harm reduction programs and food waste organizations to supply prepared meals cooked and prepared by trained chefs and trained volunteers free of cost.
Creating a kitchen-based skill development program for previously incarcerated individuals and residents who were previously affected by homelessness to assist with job placement.
